ワーキングホリデービザ（WHV）は、18〜30歳の若者がオーストラリアで最長1年間、仕事・旅・学びを自由に組み合わせて過ごせる特別なビザです。
ワーキングホリデービザとは？
日本は1980年からオーストラリアとのWHV協定を締結しており、毎年多くの日本人がこのビザを利用して渡航しています。「観光しながら働ける」というよりは、「生活費を稼ぎながら長期滞在できる」ビザです。
基本条件
- 申請時に18〜30歳であること
- 有効なパスポートを保有していること
- 健康状態が良好であること
- 十分な出発資金があること（目安：AU$5,000程度）
- 日本国籍であること（または対象国籍）

2年目・3年目への延長
WHVは条件を満たすことで2年目・3年目のビザへ延長できます。
- 2年目：指定地域での88日以上の特定業種での就労
- 3年目：さらに特定地域での179日以上の就労
Farm Workとして知られる農業・季節労働のほか、建設・採掘・看護なども対象となる場合があります。
申請方法（流れ）
- ImmiAccountアカウントを作成する
- Subclass 417（または462）を選択し申請フォームを入力
- 必要書類をアップロード
- 申請料（約AU$650）を支払い、承認を待つ
- 承認後、1年以内に最初の入国をすること

What is the Working Holiday Visa?
Japan has had a Working Holiday arrangement with Australia since 1980, and thousands of Japanese nationals use this visa every year. It's less a "working tourist" visa and more a way to fund a genuine long-term stay in Australia.
Basic Eligibility
- Be 18–30 years old at time of application
- Hold a valid passport from an eligible country
- Be in good health
- Have sufficient funds (approx. AU$5,000 recommended)
- Not be accompanied by dependent children

Extending to 2nd & 3rd Year
You can extend your WHV by completing specified regional work in Australia.
- Second Year: Complete 88 days of specified work in a regional area
- Third Year: Complete a further 179 days of specified regional work
Farm work is most common, but construction, mining and aged care can also qualify. Always verify current conditions on the Australian Department of Home Affairs website.

- Create an ImmiAccount on the Australian government website
- Select Subclass 417 (or 462 for some nationalities)
- Complete the form and upload required documents
- Pay the application fee (approx. AU$650)
- Once approved, make your first entry within 12 months
